This is a personal site. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no account, no email address, and no name attached to anything below.

What’s measured

Standard page analytics: which page was visited, the referring site, the country the request came from, the general device and browser type, and how quickly pages loaded. Visitors are counted using an identifier that rotates daily, so there is no way to recognize the same person across days, and no way to follow anyone to another site.

A short list of interactions is also recorded — which path you took, never what you entered. That is the complete list, and it is generated from the same code that does the recording, so it can’t fall out of date:

• which experiment design the decision tree arrived at — one of six named designs
• that the decision tree reached its dead end, meaning traffic could be split after all
• which worked example you loaded
• which of the three steps you moved to
• whether you switched between the frequentist and Bayesian reading
• that you opened a calculator link someone had shared — not the contents of that link
• which starting template you chose
• that you edited the calculator at least once, recorded a single time per visit — not what you changed
• that you used the button to copy a link to your working
• that you followed a link to my LinkedIn or GitHub profile, and which of the two
• that my résumé was downloaded

Each one records a choice from a fixed set of options. None of them carries a number, a label, or any other value you typed.

What isn’t

The Value Confidence Calculator and the Experiment Designer both ask for real business figures — revenue, margins, conversion rates, throughput. All of it is computed in your browser and none of it is transmitted anywhere. The calculator writes its state into the page URL so you can share a working draft with a colleague; that URL is yours, and it is never sent to me.

There is no session recording, no screen replay, and no heatmap on this site.

What’s kept on your device

One thing. If you choose light or dark mode, that preference is saved in your browser’s local storage so the page doesn’t flash the wrong background the next time you visit. It never leaves your device and is not used to identify you. No analytics cookies are set.

Who handles it

The site is hosted on Vercel, which provides its page analytics and performance monitoring. The interaction events listed above go to an analytics server I run myself, so no third party receives them. Nothing is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile, because a daily-rotating identifier makes building one impossible.

Questions

Because there is no persistent identifier, there is no profile tied to you to export or erase — the data is aggregate counts. If you have a question about any of this, reach me on LinkedIn.
